Former Dealers Liz Caudle and her new husband Len, need your prayers. Lin had a massive stroke and is in ICU. No more details available, except that they are in desperate need of prayers.
Please lift up these 2 wonderful people in your prayers in the coming days. Will update as I have more information.

Len will be in ICU for a long time, They have had some positive signs but there was major damage. Please keep Liz and Len in your prayers.

"I'm Mo the eldest child of an antiquing family. On trips growing up, my parents stopped at every junk store along the road while I sat in the car and grumbled, "When I grow up, I am not doing this!" On weekends, we'd load the family station wagon and head off to art shows where Mom sold her handmade wares. At the end of the show as we packed up the booth I thought to myself, "When I grow up, I am not doing this!" On the many trash days when I hid on the floorboard of my mother's car while she snatched a prize from the neighbor's garbage, I vowed, "When I grow up, I am not doing this!" Well, guess what... I am doing this! I'm stopping at junk stores, selling at shows and rummaging through trash piles and loving it!!!"

This week featuring the "Gloria's 4th Fireworks Bouquet" which is a grab & go hand tied bunch of flowers for your home/ celebrations or gift it includes "Freedom" roses, queen anne's lace, bottlebrush blue hydrangea or delphinium and more for 20$ each.

It was such a blessing to all of us that Ki Nassauer came to visit our little store.
To all of those who came out, chatted, got autographs, or just had fun, we truly appreciate you.

There was a lot of fun and kidding around
And our newest mascot, that's a S&P shaker next to her, she was so tiny.
Gloria brought out the goodies, Loved the chocolate!!!!!

We enjoyed Janet. of Skip-to-my-Lou. who brought a wonderful assortment of her one-of-a-kind jewelry creations. She's such an inspiration.
Ki was so gracious and gave everyone her undivided attention. Talking about junk, selling, swapping dealer stories, Behind the scenes magazine stories and of course signing books.

Yes my friends...you read correctly. Ki will be visiting Texas for two days and she'll be ~~at the~~ ~~mercy~~ the special guest of the Tulula Heads and the Headmistress! Do I really need to tell y'all about Ki? I mean...c'mon...who among us hasn't heard or read about this powerhouse of a junker!

She'll be signing the new Flea Market Style Magazine at the House of Sweet Pea Friday evening, April 29th from 4-7pm and Saturday April 30th, 11am-3pm.

Grab your issues of Flea Market Style (past and present), your cameras, all your friends and join us. I promise you up and down...you're gonna have a great time. Oooh...and come hungry. The Bistro will be open Friday and Saturday for dining and dancing. Well, maybe not dancing...but I bet you a dollar to a donut if you ask real nice-like...Gloria might dance for you! (I'm not promising anything...but it's a worth a shot!)

It's always beautiful at the shops, but all of the W&T vendors will be ramping things up to make it even prettier than usual for our special guest...and y'all!

I forgot my camera when I left for Winnie & Tulula's yesterday, so you'll have to use your imagination.

Imagine if you will a winter wonderland, Sparkles everywhere and treasures at every turn. You'll find vintage Christmas mixed in with new. Somehow it seems it's been snowing inside our building, but this snow sparkles and shimmers and won't melt.

I still have so many images to share from my fabulous time spent at Antique Week

in Round Top / Warrenton,

so without further ado, please allow me to present the Bedding Queen of Warrenton,

the lovely Gloria of The Sweet Pea Collection.

Last month I was fortunate enough to spend a bit of time in Gloria's divine space,

and once again, she did not disappoint.

I can't recall just how many times I stopped and said to myself,

"Wow...I've never seen that before!"

She is a true original and an innovator of the highest order.

And you can bet that when it comes time to purchase bedding for our new home (which will be soon!),

Miss Gloria will be getting a phone call from yours truly.

So please, pull up a chair, and enjoy the magnificent

Never mind the crazy chick in the mirror.

With Gloria around, there's absolutely no excuse for ever having an ugly buggy liner again!

Debbie's daughter, Jenn of Preemie Donna, brought Bella out for some visiting.

Now what, I ask you, is a party at Winnie & Tulula's without Angelique of Six in One Hand? She took a 4 hour tour with her hubby and 14 year old son to come see us. It was great to see her!

I even met a lurker or two. Did you know that there are people out there who read our blogs and never comment, nor do they post? Sure nuff! It was fun meeting them.

They are going to launch their boutique on

along with homemade dog treats..

We are inviting all pets from the vendors and customers..we will have a pastor from a local church doing“A Blessing of the Animals”…each animal will be blessed and given a certificate . Should be a lot of fun….animals play such an important part in our Lives…so bring any or all of your pets…it doesn’t have to be limited to dogs or cats….

Our sweet customer Angelique has had a bit of an adventure in the hospital this week, and we are happy to report that she is on the mend. All of us at Sweet Peas & Winnie & Tulula's have lifted her and her family up in prayer and continue to ask for healing. 'Twas the Night Before The Christmas

Not a creature was stirring, not even a Penguin;

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,

One of the guest vendors that will be here.

In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there;

The vendors had all their wares ready to go,

While visions of spiced eggnog danced in their heads;

And Gloria in her white outfit was ready for the crowd,

Just as she had just settled down for a quick rest,

Charrise ran out of the back room and there arose such a clatter,

that Gloria sprang from her pretty decorated bed to see what was the matter.

Away to the window they flew like a flash

They tore open the paper that had covered the windows and threw up the sash (to see the crowd that had gathered outside),

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow (could this be true in Texas~oh play along it's just a story)

Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below (which were customers anxiously waiting to get inside),

When, what to their wondering eyes should appear,

But miniature birds decorated by Peg and John, and eight tiny reindeer displayed by Charrise,

With a little old driver (I hope you don't think I'm referring to anyone at the store), so lively and quick,

I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick (or Cat Daddy dressed like Santa or Elvis if you'd like).

More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,

And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

"Now, Debbie! now Donna!, now Theresa!, Peg and Lillie!

On, Ethel! on Liz! on Rhonda, on Margo and Mindy and Daphne and Amy and Liz and Fran and Tina and Donna and Barbara and Pat and Caroline and Kathy and Linda (all the W&T crew)!

To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!

Now dash away! dash away! dash away all (we have to get ready for opening day)!"

Guest vendors are the icing on the cake. The bacon on the burger. The egg in the nog. They are what makes something good, even better.

The Remembrance of Christmas Open House at Winnie & Tulula's is going to be Oh, So Good. But, what's making it even better are the guest vendors. The Queen Mother of Winnie & Tulula's and The Sweet Pea Collection, Gloria, has outdone herself. She has invited some amazing guest vendors, two couples in fact, to our event this Friday and Saturday. Wait til you see what magic these teams are stirring up. Pixie dust is flying. Doves are in the air. Glitter is, well, glittering.Linda and Ludmil of Willow Nest have agreed to share their magic with us. Their creative creations will be the talk of the town. I did a word search for "Willow Nest" on flickr. Here are the resulting photos if you would like to peruse. They all, indeed, appear to be our L&L.

Wanna know who the other magic couple is? You may know them as Jon and Peg. Or maybe you know them as French Vanilla. Ooo la la. I saw them when I first walked into the store Sunday, but I had never met them. Didn't know who they were. I kept walking by the window and then, in short order, I saw the birth of beauty. I saw the look of "French Vanilla". I immediately figured out who they were and introduced myself. I searched for them in flickr and had no luck. So, check out this post by Patina Green. They know good when they see it! And TOT with Time-Worn Interiors had this to say about French Vanilla. See? Did you look?

Black Friday...Junker Style

There are only 3 weeks to get ready for the newest, shiniest, biggest Christmas event ever! Gloria, Charrise and all the vendors are getting ready to give y'all an early Christmas present at Winnie and Tulula's. We are going to have a Christmas Open House the weekend after Thanksgiving and I promise you up and down...it will be like no other open house you'll be attending!

The stores will be closed the week preceding November 27th to create some holiday magic with the big reveal on the 27th at 4:00 p.m. Everyone is running amuck gathering and creating one of a kind treasures to create sparkle sparkle galore! It promises to be something unique, the likes of which have never been seen before by human eyes. Don't come expecting soft Perry Como music and cookies. No sireebob...not for our group of elfettes! Gloria is having a deejay, food guaranteed to put 10 pounds on you, door prizes, and enough glitzy junk to send you running to find your shades. Remember, this isn't your mother's antique mall...it will be over the top...rooftop that is! Hark...do I hear reindeer? Not to worry...you'll have plenty of time to go to the early bird specials at Walmart and Macy's before coming to W&T's. Look at that as just OTJ training for our store. Now keep in mind, we don't want to be on the 6 o' clock news with clips of stampeding women...so no snatching and grabbing, please! Although, I swear up and down...you're gonna want to snatch and grab! Did I mention local Texas wine? So instead of hanging around the house eating leftover turkey sandwiches...start making plans to attend....now! I'll be letting y'all in on more details,so stay tuned! Did I mention eggnog bar?

Gotta run now...something glittery just caught my eye!!!

I couldn't wait to call Gloria and congratulate her when I realized she was in the newest issue of Romantic Homes magazine. For those that don't know, Gloria is the owner of The Sweet Pea Collection and Winnie and Tulula's, which is located in the same building. Well, the magazine did an awesome job of featuring Gloria and her beautiful linens and antiques ~ words just can't describe how awesome her things looked in the magazine, but you don't just have to read about her, you can come out to the The Sweet Pea Collection and Winnie and Tulula's and see it for yourself. Teresa will also be at Zapp Hall in Warrenton starting Friday, Sept. 25. She will be hosting a blog party, on Sunday, Sept. 27th in her booth at Zapp starting at 6pm.

She can also be found each January and June at The Red Barn Antique Show in Round Top as well as each Spring and Fall at Zapp Hall in Warrenton.

Lillie Bussy is well know to many of you.
She's been selling with Maggie Lopez in Canton for many years, and recently opened her own shop in Malakoff, just 10 minutes from Athens.

Shabby European elegance meets rustic chic. Lillie combines French style furniture and accessories as well as shabby garden furniture, frames, mirrors and the like.

Lillie's booth is always a feast for the eyes, as she creatively displays her treasures.
